Land Project UK’s founders obtained a 30,000 sqft residential planning permission at Stoke Park Limited.
The challenge was to: a) consolidate a site that was divided into four different land ownerships and b) obtain a major new residential planning permission in the Green Belt, a Conservation Area, a Landscape of Special Interest (Humphrey Repton and Capability Brown) near a 200, year old Grade 1 listed building.
The owner wanted to create a 21st Century development not a “copy” of the historic buildings on the estate some of which were first built in the 13th Century creating a unique challenge for the planning team.
This 5 year project was achieved using a process developed over decades to build a detailed and compelling case to all the stakeholders to justify very special circumstances. It was the last of 28 planning and listed building consents for circa 200,000 sqft of new or converted space that Land Project UK’s founders had obtained at Stoke Park over 25 years which transformed this 1,000 year old estate into one of the worlds leading club / resorts.
